A mystic spray tan is ideal for special events that allow little to no pre tanning time. For instance (wedding, prom, holidays, etc.). Also good for skin types or skin problems that are not suggested to be exposed to UV light, yet still desire a rich bronze color. Some choose mystic to keep a year round tan with absolute minimal effort.

YES. Prepping procedure prior to spray time: Exfoliate in shower day of spray (use Mystic Ready which is an exfoliate shower gel).  Ladies avoid shaving legs 24-48 hrs before spray time. Moisturize after shower with (Mystic Hyper Moist). Avoid vigorous activities; such as working out. Skin needs to be clean at time of spray, no make-up, no perfume etc.

Mystic products are specially formulated to go hand in hand with the solution used in the booth. Substitute products are not acceptable. Results may not be as prominent or long lasting and may even cause blotchiness or streakiness. This is because ingredients in other products may prevent mystic spray solution to absorb as deeply or evenly.

NO. There are other types of booths available, but mystic is the only one using a patented system called magnetan. When activated a mystic spray booth uses a positive (client) negative (mist) exchange that adheres to customer more evenly and deeply. Other booths on the market simply spray you like a garden hose using more solution and less even results.

The Mystic Tan solution has 3 components: Bronzer, DHA, and Aloe Vera.

The bronzer is a water-soluble cosmetic dye designed to produce an instant tan. The bronzer tan remains on the skin until it is washed off in a shower or bath. The brown bronzer color can be seen in the bath water but will not stain because it is completely water-soluble.

The DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is the component that creates the longer term tanning effect. When applied to the skin, DHA reacts with proteins and amino acids in the skin’s superficial layer to form a golden brown color. It will begin to darken 2-3 hours after application but it reaches its peak color within 24 hours. The DHA color and intensity will be very close to that produced initially by the bronzer. The DHA tan will begin to fade within 4-5 days. To maintain an optimal tan, an individual should tan every 4-5 days.

The Aloe Vera helps to carry the DHA deeper into the skin and promotes softer, smoother skin. The Mystic Tan solution contains more than 65% stabilized Aloe Vera liquid. Aloe Vera is a natural moisturizer that helps the skin draw moisture into the surface. It softens the skin and helps smooth wrinkles.
